What is a Regional University Study Hub?
Regional University Study Hubs is an Australian Government Department of Education funded program that takes an innovative approach to improve access to tertiary education for regional and remote students. Regional University Study Hubs provide welcoming study spaces, as well as in-person administrative, academic skills and wellbeing support for students undertaking tertiary study through any Australian institution.
What facilities are available at the Study Hub?
Students can access high-speed internet, computers, printing services, video conferencing, quiet study rooms, and collaborative workspaces. Also free tea/coffee/biscuits to help power through that study!
Registered students have key fob access seven days a week from 8:00AM to 11:00PM.
How do I register to use the Study Hub?
Registration is free and involves completing a registration form and signing an agreement to our terms and conditions. A Unique Student Identifier (USI) and proof of enrolment is also required. Either visit the Hub or contact our team online or by phone.
Are there programs for adult learners returning to study?
Absolutely. We provide personalised guidance and training opportunities for learners of all ages, helping you succeed at any stage of life.

The Study Centre is located in 12 Nelson Street, Smithton, Tasmania
The Study Centre is generally staffed Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
